You've reached MidAtlanticRadiantHeat where we specialize in providing radiant heating technology for heating indoor and outdoor areas.

Heating by radiant energy is emulating nature. The heat of the sunshine being the most normally observed instance. Radiant heating systems supply heat straight to the floor or to panels in the wall or ceiling of a house. The floor, wall or ceiling then absorbs the heat and re-radiates the heat outward. Heat flows directly from the hot surface to the people and objects in the room through infrared radiation.
Radiant heating has a number of advantages. An important factor to consider is how it is more efficient than forced-air heating because it eliminates duct losses completely. If you have allergies, you will love radiant heat because it does not distribute allergens like a forced air systems will through its duct work. A really important benefit is that Radiant heat is a hydronic (liquid-based) system, which uses very little electricity in order to distribute the heat. This is a benefit for homes off the power grid or in areas with high electricity prices. Hydronic systems can use a wide variety of energy sources to heat the liquid, including standard gas or oil-fired boilers, wood-fired boilers, solar water heaters, or a combination of these sources.
